Supporting trade associations

The following trade associations are integral to Western States College of Construction.
These organizations play an active role in supporting the mission and vision of the college by serving on the board of directors, JATC committees and by providing financial support to college operations.

Rocky Mountain Mechanical Contractors Association is a trade association representing mechanical, plumbing and HVAC/R contractors across the state of Colorado, as well as Wyoming, Nebraska and South Dakota. Under various names, the association has promoted the industry and its members since 1889. Today, RMMCA serves the needs of more than 160 member companies.

While our general mission is to make the Rocky Mountain region the best place to be a mechanical contractor, our work is primarily focused on legislative and regulatory advocacy, labor relations, education and training, and fostering relationships within the industry.

The Sheet Metal and Air Conditioning Contractors’ National Association (SMACNA) Colorado Chapter was established in 1983 when the Denver, Colorado Springs and Pueblo Chapters merged to form one statewide association. SMACNA Colorado represents over 50 contractor members and 25 associate members who manufacture and supply our contractors with equipment and materials.

SMACNA Colorado was formed to foster the advancement of the Sheet Metal Industry through cooperation and through disseminating valuable information to stakeholders. The association establishes and promotes high standards of workmanship.
